A Wedge-shaped restriction develops a DP in proportion to flow rate. There is no stagnation of solids or liquids present in the flowing fluid. Bi-directional flow element. Accuracy of 0.5% FS. This type of flow element is especially recommended for use on difficult-to-measure slurries containing solids in suspension, which tend to plug more conventional flow measuring methods. This design is also used to contain hazardous materials within the process piping, eliminating the storage of those fluids in traditional impulse lines and conventional transmitter flanges.
